League Two roundup: Gillingham defeat sees Port Vale close gap

Sports Mole's roundup of League Two action.

Port Vale closed the gap on League Two leaders Gillingham to two points after beating Rotherham 2-1 this afternoon.

Goals from Louis Dodds and Tom Pope were enough as Kieran Agard pulled one back for the home side in the second half.

Earlier in the day, Gillingham were beaten 1-0 at home to Barnet as Southend ran out 3-0 winners at Dagenham and Redbridge.

Plymouth drew 1-1 at home to Torquay United as Wimbledon's clash with Northampton Town was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.

Aldershot were held 2-2 at home to Bristol Rovers and Bradford beat Accrington 2-1 at Valley Parade.

Cheltenham eased past Wycombe Wanderers 4-0 to stay third in the table and Burton Albion overcame Rochdale 3-2 at the Pirelli Stadium.

James Constable helped himself to a double as Oxford United beat Exeter City 3-1 and Fleetwood claimed the points over Morecambe with a 1-0 victory.
