Denmark ban their players from using Twitter ahead of Euro 2012 this summer.

Denmark have banned their players from using Twitter and other social tools during Euro 2012 this summer.

The Danish Football Association have confirmed that the decision was taken by coach Morten Olsen, in the best interests of the team.

"There is so much communication during the championships that we want to limit it to meetings with the media," media chief Lars Berendt told TV2.

Denmark have been grouped with Germany, Portugal and the Netherlands for the tournament this summer.
