Darren Bent reveals Derby County 'excitement'

Darren Bent reveals his delight after joining Derby County on loan from Aston Villa.

Darren Bent has revealed that he cannot wait to begin life with Derby County after joining the Championship outfit on loan from Aston Villa.

The experienced forward sealed a move to the Rams on Friday afternoon and he will spend the remainder of this season with Steve McClaren's side.

The England international has also taken the time to thank Brighton & Hove Albion, where he spent one month on loan from Villa before Christmas.

"Excited to join ‪@dcfcofficial & will give everything to help the team for the rest of the season," he tweeted.

"I would also like to thank Brighton who were great to me during my time there."

Bent has been given the number 39 shirt by his new club.
