Preview: Doncaster Rovers vs. Blackpool

Sports Mole looks ahead to Doncaster Rovers and Blackpool getting their Championship campaigns underway at the Keepmoat Stadium.

Newly-promoted Doncaster Rovers welcome Blackpool to the Keepmoat Stadium for their first Championship match of the season.

Last season's League One winners have failed to register a win against the Tangerines since beating them 2-0 in August 2004 - a run of seven games.

Donny manager Paul Dickov may choose to give debuts to Mark Duffy, Ross Turnbull and Bongani Khumalo, but he will be without Spanish midfielder Marc de Val.

The former Real Madrid player signed a two-year deal in June but is sidelined with a knee problem.

The Tangerines have also been busy this summer, with Jack Robinson, Steven Davies, Michael Chopra, Bobby Grant and Gary MacKenzie all in line for their first starts.

However, midfielder Matt Phillips is still out for up to three months with an arm injury.

Possible lineups:

Doncaster: Turnbull; Quinn, Jones, Khumalo, Husband; Duffy, Furman, Keegan, Bennett; Paynter, Brown

Blackpool: Gilks; Broadfoot, Cathcart, McKenzie, Robinson; Ferguson, Basham, Martinez; Ince, Chopra, Davies

Sports Mole says: 1-2
