A late goal from Jamie McCombe earns Doncaster Rovers a narrow win over promotion rivals Swindon Town.

Doncaster Rovers have boosted their promotion hopes with a 1-0 win over Swindon Town at the Keepmoat Stadium.

The home side looked the more likely to open the scoring in the first half, and they came close when Aden Flint nearly diverted the ball into his own net.

Rovers continued to press after the break and were only denied taking the lead when Wes Foderingham saved from Chris Brown.

However, Doncaster finally opening the scoring with 10 minutes remaining when Jamie McCombe rose highest to head home from David Cotterill's corner.
