Prime Minister David Cameron has sent a message of good luck to England ahead of their Euro 2012 campaign.
The Three Lions take on France in the Group D opener in Donetsk on Monday, hoping to reverse their 2-1 defeat at the hands of Les Bleus at Euro 2004.
Cameron urged Roy Hodgson's men to make the country proud by winning their first trophy since the 1966 World Cup.
"The whole country will be cheering you on – and hoping that you can now go and do what no England team has done for nearly 50 years, and win an international trophy," said Cameron.
"So, come on England – let's make this a tournament to remember. I am sure that you will make us all incredibly proud."
England's group also features Sweden and co-hosts Ukraine.
