The Football Association will decide whether to appeal Wayne Rooney's Euro 2012 ban this week.
The Manchester United striker was hit with a three-match ban by UEFA after being sent off for kicking Miodrag Dzudovic in the Three Lions' 2-2 draw with Montenegro earlier this month.
The governing body are expected to receive confirmation of the reasons as to why UEFA imposed the lengthy ban this Thursday.
After the reasons have been given, the FA have three days to decide whether to appeal the ruling and a further six days to lodge their case.
