Club England managing director Adrian Bevington insists that no contact has been made regarding the managerial vacancy with the Three Lions.

The Football Association have not approached anybody over the vacant England manager's job, according to Club England managing director Adrian Bevington.

Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp has been widely tipped to be handed the role in the summer.

However, Bevington has revealed that no contact has been made with Spurs, or any other club.

"We haven't spoken to any individual or any club at this stage," Bevington told BBC Radio Five Live. "We're just ensuring we go about it in the right way and we are certainly not going to knee-jerk into anything.

"I am not prepared to answer any questions on who it may or may not be.

"Obviously we have been talking at length but we have to respect any managers and any clubs during this process and we will do so before we determine the path we want to follow."

Stuart Pearce is currently in temporary charge of the Three Lions.
