Wembley to host Euro 2020 semi-finals and final

UEFA announces that Wembley has won the right to host the European Championship final in 2020.

UEFA has announced that Wembley has won the right to host the European Championship final in 2020.

The Football Association's bid was going head to head with Germany, but it has been revealed that Wembley will stage both the final and both semi-finals.

After losing out to London, Munich will stage one quarter-final and three group matches, while Baku, Rome and St Petersburg will host the remaining last-eight clashes.

There was also success for Ireland's and Scotland's presentations to play a part in the tournament, with both nations winning the right to host one second-round fixture as well as three games in the group stages.

The Aviva Stadium in Dublin and Hampden Park in Glasgow will be the venue for each allocation of four matches.
