England defender Glen Johnson has been passed fit for the clash with Montenegro on Tuesday despite concerns over a toe injury.

It had been suggested that the Liverpool right-back would miss the World Cup qualification clash with the injury, but Hodgson has declared the experienced international fit.

"We do not have any injury concerns at all. Glen is fine," he told reporters at a press conference.

Meanwhile, Hodgson also insisted that he is happy with the surface of the pitch despite bad weather.

"The surface is good, the pitch is in very good condition. There was very heavy rainfall a couple of hours ago, we were concerned where we could train, but the pitch had dried out quickly and looked in good condition."

Montenegro currently top Group H with 13 points.
