Peter Shilton claims that England have been given a great chance to progress at next summer's World Cup.

Former England goalkeeper Peter Shilton believes that England have been given a great group draw for next summer's World Cup.

The Three Lions will face Tunisia in the first game before facing Panama and the group's top seeds Belgium.

However, Shilton has suggested that Gareth Southgate's men will be expected to beat Panama and Tunisia, which could bring extra pressure on England.

The 68-year-old told Sky Sports News: "Those two teams are ideal to get a bit of confidence, get a couple of good results. You know if we can't beat those teams you shouldn't be in the World Cup.

"So, if we have got any aspirations of doing well we've got to beat those teams and that will give us momentum.

"The Belgium match may not be that important and it may be an opportunity for Gareth to try one or two things as well."

England will be based in the Russian city of St Petersburg throughout the tournament.
