Everton left-back Leighton Baines is reportedly training three times a day in a bid to get himself back to match action following a five-month spell on the sidelines.
The England international had a second ankle operation in four months during the summer after suffering a setback in pre-season training.
Brendan Galloway and Bryan Oviedo have stepped in during Baines's absence, but the 30-year-old is determined to get back on the pitch.
According to the Liverpool Echo, Baines is putting in three training sessions a day, but is still not expected to return to first-team action until November.
Everton are currently seventh in the Premier League table.
