Everton defender John Stones injury doubt for West Bromwich Albion trip

Everton boss Roberto Martinez reveals that he will make a late call on John Stones ahead of Monday's trip to face West Bromwich Albion.

Everton manager Roberto Martinez has revealed that John Stones could miss Monday night's Premier League match against West Bromwich Albion at The Hawthorns.

The defender picked up a knock during the Toffees' 2-1 victory over Reading in the Capital One Cup on Tuesday.

In today's press conference, Martinez claimed that it is too soon to tell whether Stones will be fit for the trip, while full-back Seamus Coleman will be assessed prior to the match.

Stones has impressed at the back since his rumoured transfer to Chelsea failed to materialise.
