Roberto Martinez aiming for positive end to the season

Everton manager Roberto Martinez believes that there will be little to separate the teams when the Toffees meet Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday afternoon.

Everton manager Roberto Martinez has revealed that he hopes his side can give the club's supporters the perfect send-off for the summer when they play Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday afternoon.

Six wins from nine games have helped the Toffees up to 10th place in the Premier League table, and Martinez is hopeful that his team can retain that spot with a positive result at Goodison Park.

The 41-year-old told the club's official website: "Winning is the most important aspect in football and it would be fantastic to get a good performance that can give everyone a really good feeling going into the summer.

"You look at the Spurs side and we are very similar in terms of the tempo we like to play at and the way we want to play the game, so it will be a really interesting game."

The reverse fixture at White Hart Lane ended in a 2-1 victory for Spurs.
