David Moyes hopes to add more players to his squad during the January transfer window.

Everton manager David Moyes has expressed his desire to bring in some new players in January, having already successfully completed deals for Landon Donovan and youngster Ross Barkley.

Moyes was very quiet in the summer transfer window, losing key players such as Mikel Arteta and not signing any replacements, but the 48-year-old Scot seems keen to strengthen his squad this time around.

"I've always said making progress at a club is really important," said Moyes. "I think today we have made a bit of progress in signing a young boy like Ross Barkley, making sure he is our player, and bringing in Landon, who did well for us in his last spell.

"We are working hard to bring in more [players] just now.

"There are never any promises but if Landon is the start we are hoping to do one or two more. Hopefully it filters through to the supporters and they are much happier and have something to talk about and look forward to."

Everton are currently 12th in the league and will host tenth-placed Norwich on Saturday.
