McShane departs Buddies to join Falkirk

The midfielder has struggled for games in the Premiership.

Ian McShane has left St Mirren to join Ladbrokes Championship side Falkirk.

The 26-year-old midfielder joined Saints from Ross County in 2017 and helped the Paisley club get promoted to the Ladbrokes Premiership.

McShane's last of 49 appearances in black and white was in a 3-1 home defeat to Hamilton at the start of December.

Falkirk boss Ray McKinnon told the club's official website: "I am absolutely thrilled to have Ian on board.

"He comes with a terrific playing CV and is another who adds great experience to the group.

"He excelled for St Mirren last year as they won the Championship and was impressive in his time with Ross County too.

"I have watched him closely for a number of years and when I knew of his availability I was keen to move quickly to bring him in."
