Slovan Liberec grab draw

Slovan Liberec score two second-half goals to come from behind and draw 2-2 with Freiburg in the Europa League.

Slovan Liberec came from two goals down to draw 2-2 with Freiburg in the Europa League, thanks to second-half strikes from Vladyslav Kalytvyntsev and Michael Rabusic.

The home side took the lead thanks to a penalty converted by captain Julian Schuster, who stepped up to send the keeper the wrong way.

Freiburg extended their lead in the 35th minute when Admir Mehmedi struck an effort from 25 yards, which the keeper made a mess of, palming the ball into his own goal instead of turning it around the post.

Liberec hit back after half time when Kalytvyntsev hit a firm shot at goalkeeper Oliver Baumann, who made a howler by fumbling the ball behind and into the net.

Another error from Freiburg then allowed Liberec to go level as Mehmedi passed straight to Rabusic, who made no mistake with the finish to make it 2-2.

The visitors nearly completed a marvellous comeback but a fine save from Baumann kept out Jiri Fleisman's fierce strike to ensure that things stayed level at 2-2 by the time the final whistle blew.
