Slavisa Jokanovic has reportedly told Fulham that he wishes to halt negotiations over a new contract.
The Serbian has earned the Cottagers a place back in the top flight courtesy of winning the Championship playoffs with victory over Aston Villa in the final.
Both Fulham and Jokanovic are said to be keen to come to an agreement over a deal which would last until 2022, but according to The Express, the head coach does not want discussions to continue.
The report claims that Jokanovic would prefer to focus all of his attention on trying to move Fulham up the Premier League table after suffering back-to-back defeats in their opening two games.
The West Londoners have succumbed to a 2-0 setback at home to Crystal Palace, before a 3-1 defeat against Tottenham Hotspur followed at Wembley Stadium.
Jokanovic is said to be willing to reopen talks before the end of 2018.
