Fulham's new signing Bryan Ruiz claims he will "make a difference" at Craven Cottage.

New Fulham signing Bryan Ruiz has claimed that he is ready to cope with the pressure of his £10m price tag.

The Costa Rican international has been granted a work permit following his transfer deadline day move from FC Twente and could be handed his debut during Sunday's clash with Blackburn Rovers.

"The club paid a lot of money for me, I know that, but it is a responsibility I am willing to carry," the 26-year-old told the club's official website.

"I will react positively and hopefully I can take the chance that I have been given.

“I know that a lot is expected of me, but I’m here to make a difference – I want to do all I can for Fulham."

Ruiz scored nine goals in the Dutch Eredivisie last season.
