Bryan Ruiz happy with Fulham move

Bryan Ruiz reveals that Fulham manager Martin Jol played a major role in his decision to join the club.

New Fulham signing Bryan Ruiz has spoken of his delight at joining the club on transfer deadline day.

The Costa Rican international signed a four-year deal at Craven Cottage yesterday evening and revealed that manager Martin Jol played a major role in his decision to move to London from FC Twente.

"I'm really happy to be joining Fulham Football Club and playing under Martin Jol, who is a manager I admire from his time managing in Holland for Ajax," the 26-year-old told the club's official website.

"I chose to come to Fulham because it feels more personal than other clubs I have visited.

"I'm looking forward to meeting up with the whole squad when most of the players return from the international break and getting to work straight away with the team in preparation for some important fixtures."

Ruiz has reportedly cost Fulham £10.6m.
