Getafe cruise past Celta Vigo

Getafe cruise past Celta Vigo 2-0 to win their first game in four La Liga matches.

Getafe have beaten Celta Vigo 2-0 this evening to win their first game in four.

The visitors were previously unbeaten in three games but remain behind their opponents after goals from Lisandro Lopez and Alvaro Arroyo.

After an even first 45 minutes in which both sides created few clear chances, Getafe took control of the match with goals either side of half time.

First, Lopez headed into the bottom corner after meeting Pedro Leon's curling delivery in the 44th minute. Then, just after the break the defender turned provider, nodding the ball down for Arroyo to fire home.

Celta Vigo had little left after that as Leon and Pablo Sarabia helped Getafe dominate possession throughout the second half.

Sarabia had a great chance to make it three towards the end but fired wide. It did not matter though, as Getafe took all three points to remain in to top half of La Liga.
