Having seen their unbeaten streak come to an end last time out, Gimnasia play host to Colon at the Estadio Juan Carmelo Zerillo on Saturday.
On the other hand, the away side make the journey aiming to record a second straight triumph off the back of ending a six-game winless streak.
Match preview
Gimnasia were beaten for the first time since April courtesy of a 2-0 defeat against Atletico Tucuman at the Estadio Monumental Jose Fierro on Sunday.
Nestor Gorosito's men got off to a bad start as they conceded a first-minute opener to Augusto Lotti before Ramiro Ruiz Rodriguez sealed the deal just past the hour mark.
Consequently, El Lobo have dropped to second place in the Argentine Primera Division standings, albeit only just one point shy of league leaders Newell's Old Boys.
Next up is the challenge of an opposing outfit with little to choose between the teams, as the last eight meetings have yielded four wins apiece.
However, Saturday's hosts will back themselves to come out on top in this one off the back of seven straight wins on their own patch leading up to this weekend's contest.
Colon claimed a much-needed three points on Monday courtesy of a 2-1 victory over Velez Sarsfield at the Estadio Brigadier General Estanislao Lopez.
Julio Cesar Falcioni's men went behind to Valentin Gomez's strike in the 16th minute, but goals from Facundo Garces and Ramon Abila turned the game on its head.
With eight points amassed from seven outings this term, the Tarpon Fishers have moved up to 17th in the league table and are just a point away from the top half.
Looking to end a 13-game winless run away from home, Saturday's visitors have it all to do this weekend in what is set to be another tough assignment on the road.

We say: Gimnasia 1-0 Colon
Gimnasia have started the season in much better form and are the favourites heading into Saturday's game. While we expect Colon to give a good account of themselves, we are backing the home side to emerge victorious at the end of the 90 minutes.
