Go Ahead Eagles hold Heerenveen

Two late goals see Heerenveen play out a 1-1 draw with Go Ahead Eagles in the Eredivisie.

There were two late goals in as many minutes at De Adelaarshorst as Go Ahead Eagles played out a 1-1 draw with Heerenveen in the Eredivisie this afternoon.

Jop van der Linden fired a free kick against the underside of the crossbar in the early stages before Henk Veerman forced Heerenveen goalkeeper Erik Cummins into action.

The struggling Eagles found themselves a goal down with two minutes of normal time remaining when Lerin Duarte netted with a smart finish for the visitors.

However, Heerenveen's lead was short lived, and it was Wesley Verhoek who evened things up for Go Ahead as the game ticked into stoppage time.
