Hamburger SV have defeated Hannover 3-1 in their Bundesliga meeting this afternoon.
Szabolcs Huszti gave the visitors the lead in the 28th minute after stealing the ball from Tomas Rincon, before slotting it into the bottom corner.
They did not hold onto their advantage for long, though, as within three minutes the hosts were level when Milan Badelj was quickest to react from a free kick that keeper Ron-Robert Zieler had saved.
At the start of the second half, Hamburger took the lead. Heiko Westermann picked out Maximilian Beister in the area, with the striker planting a header into the back of the net.
The home side made the game safe four minutes from the end when Hakan Calhanoglu was slid through on goal, before firing a low strike past the keeper and into the bottom corner of the net.
Hannover finished the game with 10 men after Salif Sane picked up a second booking for a high challenge on Westermann, with the hosts holding on to claim the three points.
