Wagner: 'No plans to leave Huddersfield'

Head coach David Wagner says that he has no plans to leave Huddersfield Town for Hoffenheim at the end of the season.

Head coach David Wagner has suggested that he has no plans to leave Huddersfield Town before 2021.

Wagner has successfully guided the Terriers into the Premier League and managed to help the club survive in the top flight last season.

The German's record at Huddersfield has resulted in links with Hoffenheim - with current boss Julian Nagelsmann regularly linked with some of the top clubs in Europe - but Wagner has played down a future move for the Bundesliga side.

The 46-year-old told Sport1: "I have a contract in Huddersfield until 2021 that I totally respect, and therefore, any comment on Hoffenheim is unnecessary from my side.

"The story we're involved in at Huddersfield is simply too important to me."

Huddersfield currently sit in 18th place in the Premier League table.
