Hull City manager Nick Barmby has expressed his desire to keep top-scorer Matty Fryatt at the club.
Fryatt, 26, scored a hat-trick in his side's 3-1 win over Barnsley this evening, leading Barmby to claim that the striker is as good as anyone in the Championship.
The Tigers boss was also quick to quash recent reports suggesting that Fryatt is on his way out of the KC Stadium.
"Matty deserved his hat-trick. If you look at his third goal it's one of the best you'll see at the KC Stadium - certainly this season," said the former England international.
"That's what he can do. His all-round game is good, he works hard, he stretches teams and it allows other people to get on the ball. When he's on song he's as good as anyone in this division.
"If I've got anything to do with it, he won't be going anywhere."
Fryatt joined the club for £1.2m last January, scoring 24 goals in 67 games in that time.
