Hull City comfortably beat Bristol City 3-0 at the KC Stadium.

Hull City dominated Bristol City throughout to record an impressive 3-0 win this afternoon

The game started in a cagey fashion at a freezing KC Stadium, with both sides struggling to gain a foothold in the game.

The first shot on goal came from Matty Fryatt, and after some neat work, he fired his shot wide. As the game went on, Hull were the most likely to get on the scoresheet as they began to dominate possession.

The Tigers took the lead on the 14th minute thanks to a Jack Hobbs diving header from Robert Koren's corner. Hobbs put his header past David James despite having his shirt pulled by a defender.

Hull doubled their lead a minute later when Brady sent over a perfect cross for Koren to head home into the far corner of the net.

The home side looked to kill off the game, with Bristol City struggling to have any say. However, Nick Barmby's side could not get the all-important third goal.

Bristol City almost got back into the game on 26 minutes. Ryan McGivern, on as an early substitute, crossed to the back post where Albert Adomah was unmarked. He fired his shot straight against the bar and a follow-up shot was well-blocked by James Chester.

Koren was inches away from adding a third on 43 minutes, with his 20-yard strike taking a touch on its way over the bar. Hull went in at half-time with a 2-0 lead.

Hull came out for the second half looking to stay on top and it seemed to be going that way, dominating the early stages. Their reward came on 60 minutes when Fryatt made it 3-0.

Fryatt was the key player for Hull and seemed to be involved in everything positive going forward for the home side.

Hull saw out the latter stages of the game to run out 3-0 winners.
