Steve Bruce has claimed that the meeting with Aston Villa is one of the biggest matches of his reign at Hull City.
The Tigers head into the match in 18th place in the Premier League, and Bruce believes that the opportunity to climb out of the relegation zone means that the game is even more important.
"It's arguably one of the biggest games I've had since I've been here," the Hull boss told reporters. "For a start it will take us out of the bottom three and we have to get out of there.
"We have to reel in the teams who are above us. A win would be huge.
"With the run of fixtures we've got, it's a pivotal part of the season."
A win would see Hull leapfrog Villa, who are currently two points better off in 16th.
