First-team coach Stephen Clemence believes that three more wins should be enough to see Hull City maintain their Premier League status for next season.
The Tigers have performed well in their first season back in the top flight and find themselves five points clear of the relegation zone with 10 games remaining.
Steve Bruce has also guided the club to their first FA Cup semi-final since 1930 and former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Clemence has admitted that Hull's season "could not have gone any better".
He projects that three more victories would secure their safety, and is hopeful that they can do it before the first of two potential Wembley dates, when they meet Sheffield United on April 13.
"It could not have gone any better up to now," Clemence told the Hull Daily Mail. "Since Steve Bruce arrived it has gone very well. We've won promotion and are sitting mid table in the Premier League and we're now in the semi-final of the FA Cup.
"First we need to secure our status, which is not easy, because it's hard to win in the Premier League.
"We probably need three wins to secure safety. If we can do that we can all look forward to the semi-final at Wembley, which will be great occasion. But it's also a game we will be looking to win to try and get to the final."
Hull host Manchester City at the KC Stadium in Saturday's lunchtime kickoff.
