Newly-promoted Hull City are closing in on a deal to sign Besiktas goalkeeper Allan McGregor, according to the player's agent.
The Tigers' boss Steve Bruce is keen to bring a first-choice shot-stopper to the club ahead of their top-flight return after relying on a series of on-loan players.
The former Rangers man is seen as the ideal candidate for the job and his agent, Dave Baldwin, has revealed that the deal is almost complete.
"Allan is keen to play in the Premier League and is very keen to play under Steve Bruce, so now we just have to keep pushing the talks forward," Baldwin told the Hull Daily Mail.
"I wouldn't say there are any major obstacles to a deal being done, but there are a few things Allan wants to make sure are right in the deal, and Hull City also have areas they want to make right for them.
"As with any deal, I can't put a time frame on it, but we are making progress."
McGregor joined Besiktas in 2012 and has made 25 appearances for the Turkish side.
