Hull City are reportedly to announce the club-record signing of Nikica Jelavic on Wednesday.
Talks have been ongoing with the Everton striker since Friday evening, after agreeing a fee believed to be in the region of £6.5m for the Croatia international.
It is understood that this amount will rise by an extra £1m should the Tigers, who are currently five points clear of the relegation zone in 10th place, retain their spot in the Premier League this season.
Jelavic has fallen out of the first-team picture at Everton following the summer arrival of Romelu Lukaku but scored twice in the 4-0 FA Cup win over Queens Park Rangers earlier this month.
Jelavic made a brilliant start to his career at Goodison Park after joining for £5.5m from Rangers in January 2012, scoring the winner on his full debut against Tottenham Hotspur and going on to hit 11 goals in 16 games before the end of the season.
