Claudio Ranieri: Inter Milan "cannot go on like this"

Following Inter Milan's 4-0 defeat at Roma, Claudio Ranieri warns his players that they "cannot go on like this".

Claudio Ranieri has said that his Inter Milan side "cannot go on like this" following their 4-0 defeat at Roma on Saturday.

Goals from Juan, Bojan Krkic and a Fabio Borini double consigned Inter to their third consecutive winless Serie A game.

The former Chelsea boss was unimpressed with his team's showing.

He said: "We cannot go on like this. Roma put in a good performance and deserve praise. However, we simply did not do enough and were too weak.

"We have not performed to our strength in the past few weeks. We concede goals too easily and do not seem to be ourselves on the pitch.

"Obviously I still have belief in the team, but we have to rediscover ourselves. We have been dealt serious blows in the past and always managed to bounce back. We will do so again."

Inter currently sit fifth in the table, nine points behind Juventus.
