Parma executive Pietro Leonardi has revealed that the Emilia-Romagna club have abandoned their attempt to sign Inter Milan centre-back Matias Silvestre.
The 28-year-old Argentine had been heavy linked with a move to Stadio Ennio Tardini, but Parma have now ended their interest due to his lack of enthusiasm regarding the proposed transfer.
"Parma have waited for him many times," Leonardi told Sport Italia.
"But we only sign players with enthusiasm and for this reason we decided not to continue negotiating with the player."
Former club Boca Juniors now appear to be the most likely destination for Silvestre, who had spells at Catania and Palermo between leaving the Argentine giants and joining Inter.
