Inter Milan playmaker Wesley Sneijder has confirmed that he will not sign a new contract with the Italian club.
The Dutchman has been asked by the Nerazzurri to take a pay cut on his €6m (£4.8m) annual salary and extend his current contract from 2015 to 2016.
Sneijder and his agent held a meeting with Inter officials on Monday after which the 28-year-old said that he will not commit himself to the former Italian champions under the current circumstances.
"At this moment in time I have no reason to sign," he said. "How can I accept a new contract under these conditions when I am not even playing?
"As it stands, my decision is to not sign for Inter."
Sneijder joined Inter from Real Madrid in 2009 and was a key figure in the Nerazzurri's Champions League triumph in the 2009-10 season.
