Hernanes out for "three weeks"

Juventus confirm that Brazilian midfielder Hernanes will be out of action "for approximately three weeks" with a thigh problem.

Juventus have revealed that they will be without Brazilian midfielder Hernanes for the next three weeks.

The 30-year-old was forced off with a thigh injury at the interval of his team's 1-0 win over AC Milan at the weekend.

Juve have now confirmed that the midfielder will miss "approximately three weeks" with the issue, ruling him out of this week's key Champions League clash with Manchester City.

"Missing out again was Hernanes, who underwent tests to ascertain the exact nature of the problem picked up during last weekend's meeting with Milan," read a statement on the Italian club's official website.

"These revealed a first-grade tear in the adductor longus muscle in the midfielder's right thigh. He is expected to be out of action for approximately three weeks."

Hernanes joined Juventus from Inter Milan in the summer.
