Juventus fire seven past Parma

Juventus move six points clear at the top of Serie A by claiming a 7-0 victory against Parma.

Juventus have thrashed Parma 7-0 to extend their lead at the top of Serie A to six points.

Claudio Marchisio had the first chance for the hosts, but his low drive from the edge of the box was touched behind by Antonio Mirante.

Juventus made the breakthrough in the 24th minute when Paul Pogba's effort was parried by the keeper and Fernando Llorente pounced to slot home the rebound.

Stephan Lichtsteiner doubled the Bianconeri's lead five minutes later with a powerful drive from just outside the box that flew into the top corner.

The hosts were firmly in command and they grabbed a third soon after when Llorente was picked out by Lichtsteiner and guided an effort into the corner.

Parma made a bright start to the second half and Abdelkader Ghezzal almost pulled a goal back with a fierce strike that went just over.

However, Juventus put the game beyond any doubt in the 50th minute when Carlos Tevez picked the ball up in midfield, dribbled past three Parma defenders and slotted an effort into the corner.

The Argentina grabbed his second of the match eight minutes later, as he reacted quickly to fire home after Pogba's stinging drive had been palmed away by Mirante.

Alvaro Morata then made it six for Juventus with a composed finish into the bottom corner after being fed through on goal by Kingsley Coman.

With two minutes left to play Morata was picked out inside the box by Lichtsteiner and volleyed home a seventh to put the seal on a resounding win for the Serie A leaders.
