Wednesday's Serie A predictions including Juventus vs. Sassuolo

Sports Mole provides score predictions for all of Wednesday's Serie A fixtures, including Juventus vs. Sassuolo.

Following their late escape from defeat in the Derby d'Italia, Juventus host mid-table Sassuolo on Wednesday evening, at the Allianz Stadium.

Juve's second Serie A engagement in the space of three days sees them seeking to extend a nine-match unbeaten run in all competitions, and draw closer to the clubs just above them in the standings.

We say: Juventus 2-0 Sassuolo

Having posted four straight 1-0 wins and then held the Scudetto-holders to a draw on away soil, Juventus may not be a fully fluent side, but have started to regain the mentality which saw them enjoy such success under Max Allegri first time around.

For that reason, they can keep another clean sheet - despite the impressive attacking options at Sassuolo's disposal - and pick up another valuable three points in their quest to catch the league leaders.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

Sampdoria vs. Atalanta (Wednesday, 5.30pm)

Having let points slip through their fingers in back-to-back matches last week, Atalanta BC will seek to overcome those setbacks when they visit Sampdoria on Wednesday.

Conceding a stoppage-time equaliser to Udinese at the weekend followed Champions League heartbreak at Old Trafford for La Dea, so they hope to take advantage of a struggling Samp side.

We say: Sampdoria 1-2 Atalanta BC

Under D'Aversa, so far Sampdoria have conceded at a rate of almost two per game, so even a below-par Atalanta can continue that rate on Wednesday with at least a couple of goals at Marassi.

While defensive issues remain - not helped by a raft of injuries - the Bergamaschi can be brilliant at their best, with potential match-winners popping up all over the pitch. Some lesser-known figures may play their part in securing the win this time out though.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

Udinese vs. Hellas Verona (Wednesday, 5.30pm)

Riding high after a stellar 4-1 victory over Lazio at the weekend, Hellas Verona will travel West to face Udinese on Wednesday targeting their maiden back-to-back wins of the season.

Three points could take Verona to within touching distance of the European spots, whilst Udinese will be hoping to distance themselves from the relegation battle taking place below them.

We say: Udinese 0-1 Hellas Verona

Two teams likely to end up mid-table come the end of the season, if either have any aspirations of pushing higher up the league, these are the sort of matches they'll need to win.

Udinese may have the stronger head-to-head record, yet it is Verona who are enjoying a more fruitful run of form, meaning they are most likely to edge this encounter.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

Cagliari vs. Roma (Wednesday, 7.45pm)

Having emerged from the past week with just one point and one goal from three matches, Roma are under pressure to beat Cagliari on Wednesday, at the Sardegna Arena.

Following the first rumblings of discontent under Jose Mourinho, the Giallorossi's honeymoon period with their high-profile coach is now over, so a win against Serie A's second-bottom side is essential.

We say: Cagliari 1-3 Roma

Put plainly, Cagliari cannot defend competently for 90 minutes, so a series of destabilising injuries is the last thing they need when seeking just a second win of the season.

Though they have failed to inspire in recent weeks, Roma will have more than enough firepower to outgun their opponents on Wednesday, in a fixture which almost always brings goals.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

Empoli vs. Inter Milan (Wednesday, 7.45pm)

Denied in the Derby d'Italia at the weekend after conceding a last-gasp penalty, Inter Milan travel to Empoli on Wednesday, looking to immediately bounce back from their disappointment.

As they also lost to Lazio a week earlier, expectation lies heavily on the champions to take maximum points, but they will face a home side who have exceeded expectations since claiming the Serie B title.

We say: Empoli 1-3 Inter Milan

Having leaked goals freely - particularly at their Tuscan home - Empoli are set to be unpicked an experienced attacking unit on Wednesday.

Inter sorely need to take the points to avoid drifting further behind the early pacesetters, so will not lack motivation, and are sure to be fired up by the hotly-disputed climax to the Derby d'Italia.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

Lazio vs. Fiorentina (Wednesday, 7.45pm)

After a stuttering September saw them fall out of contention at the top of the table, Lazio will look to end October with two wins from their remaining games, starting with the visit of Fiorentina on Wednesday.

The pair are separated by one point in seventh and eighth, with both sides targeting a place in the European spots come the end of the season.

We say: Lazio 1-1 Fiorentina

It is fair to say Lazio were never going to be title contenders this season, yet the Eagles supporters would have hoped for their side to have been more competitive than they currently are.

Fiorentina are no pushovers and will look to capitalise on the misfortunes of Lazio, starting with their meeting against each other on Wednesday.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.
