Juventus sign Angelo Ogbonna from Torino

Juventus sign Italian international Angelo Ogbonna from Torino for a fee of €13m (£11.2m).

Juventus have completed the €13m (£11.2m) signing of Angelo Ogbonna from local rivals Torino.

The 25-year-old, who was reportedly coveted by both Manchester United and Arsenal, has signed a five-year deal with the Bianconeri after passing a medical.

"Italian international defender Angelo Ogbonna has completed a permanent move from Torino to Juventus," read a statement on Juve's official website.

"The 25-year-old, whose impressive performances earned him a place in Cesare Prandelli's European Championship squad last summer, has put pen to paper on a five-year contract which keeps him with the Bianconceri until 2018."

The fee could rise by a further €2m (£1.7m).
