Juventus managing director Beppe Marotta says that signing a striker in January remains the club's priority.

Juventus director general Beppe Marotta has not ruled out a move for Shanghai Shenhua striker Didier Drogba.

The Bianconeri tried desperately to sign a big-name striker during the summer transfer window, but were unsuccessful in reported attempts to land Fernando Llorente, Edin Dzeko and Robin van Persie.

Marotta revealed that the hunt for a frontman is still his top priority, hinting that the former Chelsea man could be a possible option.

"Signing a striker in January, putting our financial resources to one side, will also depend a lot of who is available at the time," Football Italia quotes Marotta as saying.

When asked directly about the prospect of luring Drogba, Marotta responded: "I will exclude nothing."

The Ivorian left for China in the summer following a six-year stay at Stamford Bridge.
