Kilmarnock boss Kenny Shiels handed touchline ban

Kilmarnock manager Kenny Shiels gets a four-game ban for comments he made about Celtic.

Kilmarnock boss Kenny Shiels has been handed a four-game touchline ban, with two matches suspended until the end of next season, after being found guilty of breaching SFA rules.

The Killie manager was adjudged to have brought the Scottish game into disrepute with comments he made about Celtic during a radio interview.

Shiels said that the Glasgow giants have "massive influence" over disciplinary hearings and dubbed them "the monster of Scottish football".

An disciplinary tribunal ruled that the coach breached SFA regulations by questioning the integrity of another club and challenging the validity of a judicial panel.

Kilmarnock were found guilty of failing to ensure that Shiels complied with SFA protocol. Their punishment will be decided on June 21.
