The boss of Major League Soccer has praised David Beckham for his positive impact on American Soccer.
Don Garber, commissioner of the league, has applauded the former England captain ahead of what is potentially his last game in the US this Sunday.
"He's been great for our league and for our game," the MLS commissioner said after a 7% increase in attendances this season.
"This guy wants to win, and he'll do anything. I totally underestimated how hardworking and tough he is. He will play through injury and fatigue.
"That warrior-like mentality was like nobody expected in MLS."
Beckham moved to LA Galaxy in 2006 after a four-year spell with Real Madrid and since then the franchise has twice reached the finals of the MLS playoffs.
