Ian Culverhouse 'submits application for Leeds United job'

Former Aston Villa assistant boss Ian Culverhouse is said to be a contender for the Leeds United job.

Former Aston Villa assistant manager Ian Culverhouse has reportedly applied for the vacant managerial post at Leeds United.

The 49-year-old is keen to step up into management and has his sights set on Elland Road, according to Sky Sports News.

Culverhouse served as Paul Lambert's assistant at Colchester United, Norwich City and Villa, but was sacked by the latter club earlier this year.

Leeds have been seeking a new manager since parting company with Dave Hockaday after just six games.
