Robert Snodgrass struck 18 minutes from time to salvage a 1-1 draw for Leeds United at Elland Road this afternoon.
It looked for a long while that Joe Mason's 16th minute strike was going to hand the visiting Welsh side all three points. The 20-year-old capitalised on some hesitant defending by Darren O'Dea, before rounding goalkeeper Paul Rachukba and rolling the ball into an unguarded net.
In reply both former Bluebird Ross McCormack and Adam Clayton forced saves from David Marshall, who was able to palm both efforts away from goal.
However, with time running out, Snodgrass reacted quickest inside the area to Tom Lees' headed flick-on to earn his side a share of the spoils from close range.
Cardiff's Aron Gunnarsson had the best chance to snatching the winning goal, but his header from four yards out went over the bar.
