Claudio Ranieri: "We deserved to win"

Italian manager Claudio Ranieri reflects on his Leicester City side's 1-0 win over Crystal Palace.

Leicester City boss Claudio Ranieri has said that his side "deserved to win" after a Jamie Vardy goal gave them a 1-0 victory over Crystal Palace at the King Power Stadium this afternoon.

The result means that the Foxes have still suffered just one defeat in the Premier League this season.

"It was a tough match, a battle for us, they are stronger than us. We battled well and deserved to win. We are taking it step by step It's important to achieve 40 points, that is our first goal," Ranieri told BBC Sport.

"Vardy is fantastic because every ball could be good for him. The spirit is fantastic and is one of our strengths, we never give up and continue to fight.

Leicester continue their season when they face Hull City in the fourth round of the League Cup on Tuesday.
