David Moyes suggests that he is interested in becoming the new manager of Leicester City after the sacking of Claude Puel.

David Moyes has revealed that he is ready to return to management after almost a year out of the dugout.

Moyes enjoyed a relatively successful period with West Ham United last season, but the Hammers did not extend his contract and instead opted to bring in Manuel Pellegrini.

Leicester City announced on Sunday that they had parted ways with Claude Puel, and Moyes has admitted that he would jump at the opportunity to manage the Foxes.

The Scot told talkSPORT: "I'm mad keen to get back in. After West Ham last year it really whet my appetite because we felt we did a really good job with what was available to us and I really enjoyed it.

"If the right opportunity comes along to us then I'm ready to go."

Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers is currently regarded as the favourite to become the new boss at the King Power Stadium.
