Harry Redknapp hails "great game of football"

Queens Park Rangers manager Harry Redknapp hails a "great game of football" after his side's thrilling 3-2 win over Leicester City at Loftus Road.

Harry Redknapp hailed a "great game of football" after his Queens Park Rangers side beat Leicester City 3-2 in a five-goal Premier League thriller on Saturday.

Charlie Austin scored on 73 minutes to snatch the Hoops the points in an entertaining affair at Loftus Road, and Redknapp was delighted with his side's performance.

He told Sky Sports News: "It was a great game of football wasn't it? Both teams went for it, they scored the early goal and then we came back at them strong and they're always a threat on the counter with the pace they've got. But we played our football and that's as well as we've played in that first half.

"They played well too don't get me wrong, but for us to come back to 2-2 and then get the winner with Charlie, it was a great game of football. We showed a lot of character today, especially in the first half.

"They pinned us in later in the game and got it in the box and it was all hands to the pump, but we defended for our lives and we got the win. Today, we've scored three so we're scoring goals, but we defended well too. All round, it was a great performance."

The victory moves Redknapp's side up to 18th in the Premier League, while Leicester drop to the bottom.
