Nigel Pearson "really pleased" to win Championship title

Leicester City manager Nigel Pearson says that he is "really pleased" to have secured the Championship title with two games to spare.

Nigel Pearson has said that he is "really pleased" that Leicester City have secured the Championship title this evening.

The league leaders, who were already assured of promotion to the Premier League, beat Bolton Wanderers 1-0 to leave themselves seven points clear at the top with just two games still to play.

The manager told the club's Twitter feed: "Really pleased for all associated with [Leicester]. Great to cross the line ourselves. Dominant tonight, fabulous goal to win it.

"Delighted our fans could enjoy the moment with us. They've been fantastic all season. Could see what the title meant to us."

Lloyd Dyer scored the only goal during the match in the second half.
