Nigel Pearson wants more from Leicester City

Leicester City boss Nigel Pearson warns his players that they will need to work "exceptionally hard" if they are to remain top of the Championship.

Leicester City manager Nigel Pearson has told his players that they will need to work "exceptionally hard" if they are to stay top of the Championship.

The Foxes moved ahead of Cardiff City on goal difference on Saturday thanks to their 1-1 draw at Birmingham City.

"I am no fool," Pearson told Sky Sports News. "To maintain this position we will have to work exceptionally well.

"In this division it is very tough. I talk about performances which have to be right. Although we didn't start in the fashion we were expected to, the performance was an example of performing well."

Leicester are back in Championship action on Tuesday night when they host Brighton & Hove Albion.
