Kasper Schmeichel: "We were not ruthless enough"

Leicester City goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel bemoans his side's inability to hold onto their lead in this evening's 2-1 defeat against Aston Villa.

Kasper Schmeichel has admitted that Leicester City "were not ruthless enough" as they relinquished an early lead against Aston Villa to taste defeat once more this evening.

The Foxes, who slipped to a 2-1 reverse at Villa Park, have now gone 10 games without a victory in the Premier League to drop to the foot of the table.

Leonardo Ulloa had put Leicester ahead on 13 minutes with an easy finish from close range, although the hosts hit back through Ciaran Clark and Alan Hutton to win the derby clash.

"We were not ruthless enough, we went 1-0 up and let them off the hook and you cannot do that in the Premier League," Schmeichel told Sky Sports News after the game. "We need some luck but you make your own luck. We have to be more ruthless."

Leicester will look to rectify their faltering form when they take on champions Manchester City next weekend.
