Leicester City boss Nigel Pearson has confirmed that Zak Whitbread will return to training this week.
The 29-year-old exited the field on a stretcher during the club's 2-1 win over Middlesbrough at the weekend, but Pearson has quelled suggestions that the defender suffered a serious head injury.
"He's okay now but it was a head injury with concussion," he told reporters at a press conference.
"I've not had a chance to speak to [club physio] Dave Rennie about the extent of it, so we'll have more of an idea about that on Monday."
However, Whitbread is not expected to take part in the club's League Cup clash with Wycombe Wanderers on Tuesday.
